Please beware of COVID-19 when joining festivals and events featuring tradition and custom of your country.
* Precautions to be taken
- Do not join an event or dine in a group if you are not feeling well.
- Refrain from joining large gathering events and parties where people are talking loudly.
- Wear a mask, sanitize your hands and fingers, and practice social distancing when joining an event or dining in a group.
- Refrain as much as possible from drinking alcohol in large quantities or late into the night on the streets or in restaurants.
- Consider new ways of enjoying yourself, such as spending time at home or participating in online events.
- Consult with a medical institution if you suspect infection with COVID-19.

Wakayama International Exchange Center distributes BOSAI GUIDE (Natural Disaster Safety Guide) which compiles basic information on disaster prevention. It is available on the URLs below. In order for foreign residents to act appropriately in the event of a disaster, this guide provides knowledge on earthquakes, tsunami, typhoons and heavy rain expected to occur in Wakayama Prefecture, information on evacuation and how to get information in case of a disaster, as well as Japanese words used at disasters.
