Let us thank all residents of the prefectures in Kansai for their daily efforts to prevent infections.
As the summer holiday season is approaching, the spread of the COVID-19 is currently on a growing trend nationwide.
It is therefore important that you continue to take voluntary preventive measures on a daily basis. By taking preventive measures, please stay pleasant and healthy during this summer.

Take voluntary preventive measures based on the characteristics of the COVID-19
- Basic preventive measures include hand washing and disinfection, effective ventilation and appropriate use of masks.
When wearing a mask, please be aware of heat stroke.
- If you are meeting elderly people such as grandparents or gathering with a large group of people when returning your hometown, at festivals, on leisure, etc., be sure to take measures to prevent infections and to keep yourself in good physical condition.
- Prepare for the possibility of fever or other bad physical conditions by stockpiling self-test kits, antipyretic and analgesic medicines, etc.

Take measures to prevent infections of those who are at high risk of serious illness.
- Follow the rules for wearing masks at medical institutions and facilities for the elderly, if any.
- It is effective for the elderly and others at high risk of developing serious illness to avoid places with poor ventilation, crowded places and conversations in close proximity to each other as measures to prevent infections (if this cannot be avoided, it is effective to wear a mask).
- The elderly and others at high risk of developing serious illness should consider getting the bivalent vaccine targeting the Omicron subvariants.

Appropriate medical checkups
- Contact in advance when visiting your family doctor or medical institutions to get consultation properly.
- If you do not have your family doctor or are not sure where to consult, please utilize the consultation centers, etc. set up by your local government.
