Update on the collapse of the water pipe bridge (October 5)


For those living in the areas above (to the north of) the Kinokawa River in Wakayama City


In the evening of October 3, 2021, a part of Musota Water Pipe Bridge over the Kinokawa River collapsed. In this regard, restoration works will start on October 6 (Wed) with the aim of restarting water supply on October 8 (Fri).


As for the emergency water supply stations that have been available from October 4, 2021, the following are the information on the locations as of October 5.

<21 locations (elementary schools)>
- Kada Elementary School, Nishiwaki Elementary School, Hachimandai Elementary School, Kimoto Elementary School, Matsue Elementary School, Kishiminami Elementary School, Kishi Elementary School, Fujitodai Elementary School, Minato Elementary School, Nozakinishi Elementary School, Nozaki Elementary School, Fukushima Elementary School, Kusuminishi Elementary School, Kusumi Elementary School, Kusumihigashi Elementary School, Narutaki Elementary School, Isao Elementary School, Isaohigashi Elementary School, Nogawa Elementary School, Kii Elementary School, Kawanaga Elementary School, 
(*Water supply is not available at Yamaguchi Elementary School.)

<1 location (other facilities)>
- Site where JA Wakayama Yamaguchi Branch was located (October 5 only)
- Yamaguchi Nishi Children’s Park (from October 6)


The emergency water supply will be available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Please bring your own containers such as plastic bottles to collect water from those emergency water supply stations.

Water supply is also available at public facilities (community centers and branch offices of Wakayama City) to the south of the Kinokawa River.
