◆ Alert levels and evacuation in case of landslides, heavy rains and typhoons
When a landslide, heavy rain or typhoon occurs, municipalities will issue evacuation information based on the five alert levels. Please check the information on TV or online, and get ready to evacuate properly according to the alert levels. If Alert Level 4 is issued, everyone should immediately evacuate to a safe place.
Evacuation information can be received using "Safety tips", a multi-language application providing disaster information developed under the supervision of Japan Tourism Agency. Please be sure to install “Safety tips" to your smartphone.

* Evacuation information based on five alert levels
- Alert Level 5: Emergency Safety Measures (This indicates a life-threatening situation. Protect your life.)
- Alert Level 4: Evacuation Instruction (Everyone should immediately evacuate to a safe place.)
- Alert Level 3: Evacuation of the Elderly, etc. (Those who may need more time to evacuate, such as the elderly and those with disabilities should evacuate.) 
- Alert Level 2: Heavy Rain, Flood, or Storm Surge Advisories (Be prepared for evacuation and make sure you know how to evacuate.)
- Alert Level 1: Probability of Warnings (Stay alert to any update)
