◆ Beware of typhoons
Typhoons may hit Japan particularly between August and October. Approaching typhoons bring heavy rain and strong winds, and increase the risk of disasters such as storm surges, floods, landslides, etc. Do not go outside and stay away from dangerous places.
*Preparations to be made in advance
- If you have items outside your house such as on the balcony or in the garden, bring them inside to prevent them from being blown away.
- Prepare a flashlight and mobile battery, etc. in case the electricity goes out.
- Prepare drinking water and foods such as canned foods or snacks.
- Check the evacuation sites in your neighborhood and how to get there in advance.
- Regularly check the latest weather information.
